Cardiff Glen is located just south of Glenwood Springs near the Glenwood Springs Municipal Airport. The neighborhood is next to Sopris Elementary School and the Cardiff Glen park which is an open area in the subdivision and contains a playground and picnic area. There are several different phases of the Cardiff Glen subdivision.

Under a new plan, to which the homeowners groups in the subdivision agreed, the main park will see two pavilions and picnic facilities, benches, a relocated playground, additional on-street parking and landscaping.

One condition from the city for accepting the new development plan calls for no more than four units to be built on Lot 95, which would also see a variety of improvements. Those are to include three horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, a gazebo with picnic table, designated parking and landscaping.
